Nuestra Señora de la Pura y Limpia Concepción
1620

Built in Havana as a nao, the ship was refitted in 1639. She became a 600 ton galleon with a length of 140 feet and arned with 36 guns.  She was crewed by 250 men.

By the time of her conversion Spanidh ship designers had begun reducing the size of the stern castle. This ship, therefore represents the final stage of galleon development. After this the designers began to copy French and Dutch ships of the period.

She was lost in a hurricane in 1641.
